The White Mountains and Their Winter Wonders
The White Mountains – a place of wonder, of natural beauty, of peaceful calm in the backwoods…where the tourists (I mean you, mass-holes) don’t bother to go. Ahh…
I can say that because I’m from New Hampshire. Just for clarification, not all Massachusetts residents are Massholes, but every Masshole is a resident of Massachusetts.
I cannot count the times that I have come to the White Mountains, which on a random thought seems to have the best pizza in New England. Not at pizza chains, I’m talking about local restaurants and pizza shops, and even gas stations 🙂 Yes, I’ve been to the North End @ Ernestos, Regina’s, etc…, I’ve been to New York, Chicago. There’s just something about the pizza at the local places in New Hampshire that is so fresh, and yummy, and preferable to others.
After a fresh snow or ice storm, when the tips of the tree branches are dusted with white, is one of the most incredible times to take a camera to the landscape. The light and shadows play and create a depth that is extraordinary on the eyes.
So many beautiful rivers, streams, brooks, waterfalls…
There are a lot of these bridges (like this one) scattered across the mountains from the old train routes that used to come up here.
